So it looks like Slowthai is in for a big year, he’s in at no.4 in the BBC Sounds of 2019, and rightfully so. We first encountered him last year via Gilles Peterson and he’s just dropped a video for his recent track “Doorman” (produced by Mura Masa). The video distils the post punk power and adds in a nice nod to Trainspotting, feel the force:
