Hey hey, our good pals at Positive Vibration in Liverpool and at London International Ska Festival have made some line up announcements and they’re pretty blinkin’ exciting as it goes.
Positive Vibration have announced the first raft of artists coming to the Baltic Triangle next year:
Macka B & The Roots Ragga Band
Sister Nancy & Legal Shot Sound System
Adrian Sherwood & Creation Rebel
Iration Steppas
Misty in Roots
Don Letts
Channel One Sound System
Manudigital with Parly B and Bazil
Capital Letters
Radikal Guru with Echo Ranks and Cian Finn
Dubkasm with Solo Banton
Count Skylarkin’ presents ‘Derek’s Island Discs’
Frankly if they added nothing else the line-up would already be huge, great to see the legendary Sister Nancy on the bill, along with all time favourite dub master Adrian Sherwood, sound system culture is in strong effect with Iration Steppaz, Channel One System and Dubkasm, past Funkdub guest and renaissance man Don Letts makes a welcome return and we’re really pleased to see Capital Letters on the bill. Get your tickets here.
London International Ska Festival will be releasing details of all 16 events soon, and have announced the full line up for the Sunday show on 01.04.2018 and it’s very mouth watering indeed including; Horace Andy, Johnny Clarke and The Hempolics. They’re joining an already outstanding lineup announced so far which includes: Ken Boothe, Derrick Morgan, Smiley & The Underclass, The Clarendonians, Doreen Shaffer, Lone Ranger, Pama Intl, African Head Charge, Alpheus, Freddie Notes, Otis Gayle and Clive Chin as well a raft of heavyweight selectors. It’s the 30th Anniversary and will be nothing short of an outstanding do. Tickets available here.
We’ll be spinning some platters at the Positive Vibration festive reggae knees up in a couple of weeks, details here and here, looking forward to it all!
