Our good friends at Positive Vibration in Liverpool are back with a huge huge line up.
Updated August 2021 with added Funkdub flavour
2020 was, on any analysis, a very bad year – I’m not sure any of us realised how much we missed meeting people and live music. After a well earned break in 2019 one of the biggest disappointments of last year was that Positive Vibration had, like everyone else, to cancel. Well the news is they are most certainly back and with an absolutely monstrous line up. The festival is moving from it’s usual spot in June to the 10th and 11th of September back at the Baltic Triangle in Liverpool. The line up announcements have been coming in waves and they’ve wrapped up the announcements for the main bill.
To be quite honest we could simply list every name on the bill, it’s 100% gold – the team have yet again excelled themselves in the most trying of circumstances. To pick out just a few that are new to the festival and we’ll be at the front for – Reggae royalty Dawn Penn jumps right off the page as do the mighty Asian Dub Foundation. There are a plethora of UK titans like Tippa Irie, General Levy, Neville Staple and Congo Natty. We also won’t be missing the incredible Hollie Cook and long term favourites The Nextmen and Mungo’s Hi-Fi, not forgetting past Funkdub guests Gentleman’s Dub Club and Don Letts . The thing is if you have any interest at all in Reggae or Bass music this is an all killer no filler line up. The stage splits have just been announced – our very own GK will be bringing some Funkdub flavours Saturday lunchtime, but nevermind that, the whole line up is HUGE:
Check out their website and tickets are available via Skiddle, there’s only a few left, get them while you can. The whole Funkdub crew will be there all weekend, catch you down at the front!
