Liverpool’s favourite reggae party, Positive Vibration, will be returning to Constellations this June.
Taking place over 2 days, the festival will play host to a plethora of live music, DJs & Selectas, dub sound systems, food & drink, a record fair, pop-up stalls, a Q&A session, an art exhibition, face & body painting and loads of creative workshops for the kids.
Dig out your brightest clothes, master your bogle and come join the team for a celebration of all things reggae.

Friday 10 June Live Music & Performance
Mad Professor with KarMelody & Pan Africanist – Legendary dub musician & producer, long-term collaborator of Lee Scratch Perry and founder of Ariwa sounds, Mad Professor will be showcasing his pioneering dub sounds.
Trojan Sound System – An institution in British sound system culture, this legendary team of DJs and vocalists will be bringing their message of love & unity through the power of ska, and roots reggae.

Saturday 11 June Live Music & Peformance
- Don Letts – DJ, musician and Grammy Award winning film-maker, Don will be part of our Q&A panel, and will be spinning some of his favourite reggae & punk records.
- Les Spaine Snr – One of the most important British club DJs of the 1970s, and resident of Liverpool’s infamous, ‘The Timepiece’, Les will be part of our Q&A panel, and will be spinning some of his favourite roots reggae records.
- DJ Vadim – Prolific DJ, Producer and Ninjatune stalwart, Vadim will be nicing up the dance with his bangin’ dub & reggae.
- Levi Tafari – Liverpool-born Rastafarian, Urban Griot and friend of the festival, Levi will be part of our Q&A panel, and will be showcasing his unique style of Dub Poetry.
- Cut Capers – Bristol based 8-piece, fusing hip-hop, swing, ska and roots reggae. Combining tight grooves and a big sound featuring UK and Spanish MCs, soulful female vocals and a dynamic 3-piece brass section.
- Shanty – Jamaica’s authentic dubwise bass & rhythms blended with a new UK twist, soulful vocals and a jazzy brass band. Regarded by David Rodigan as the “Best of British Reggae”.
- BackBeat SoundSystem – Made with movement in mind. Traditional reggae music slapped upside the head with a party stick. Stomping bass, dub synths & steady grooves.
- Solko – 7-piece with heavy guitars, horns and stomping rhythms. Over the past few years Solko have been firmly planting their name as purveyors of dub/rock in the UK.
- Kioko – A band of big personalities and even bigger song hooks, Kioko pride themselves on writing accessible, head bopping tunes, but also take pride in the fact that their music is sociologically and politically relevant to today’s ever changing society.
- Rumjig – Firm and chunky festival favourites, Rumjig are a fusion of reggae, dub, folk, swing and jazz. Their aim – to combat bitterness, blues and boredom.
