Chester is bracing for the incredible sound of CODA, a high-impact five-piece live dubstep band from London who will be bringing their intense live show to Telfords Warehouse on Saturday, 18th May 2013
Masterminded by the ever-popular Funkdub Live promotions juggernaut, the event will be the latest in a long line of acclaimed live music experiences that has been bringing urban music connoisseurs flocking to Chester’s real music scene.
Dominating the groove-oriented sector of the dubstep genre, CODA fuse live instrumentation with electronic effects to deliver a masterclass in bass-heavy production and performance.
Sharing stages and sound systems with some of dubstep and dub’s heavy hitters, including Caspa, Nicky Blackmarket, Dub Pistols, Dreadzone and Mungo’s Hi Fi, CODA’s dynamic live show has become legendary in the bass music scene.
Following their smash headline performances at Chai Wallahs in 2011 to 2000+ crowds, CODA released their debut EP, The Breach, followed by the Guerrilla Tactics EP in 2012. Free downloads of both EP’s, along with a host of releases and remixes are available.
In recent years, the Funkdub brand has brought Chester some of its most memorable music events ever. Barnstorming appearances from The Dub Pistols, Greg Wilson, Pama International, Max Sedgely & The Shoots, Little Barrie and Keb Darge have become legend, and their continuing journey into the realms of live dubstep is not to be missed.
CODA’s set will be supported by resident Funkdub DJs, 3DJ and G-Kush, smashing up the decks with their captivating vinyl mastery.
Funkdub Live Presents Coda will be on Saturday, 18th May at Telford’s Warehouse. Tickets are priced at just £5 on the door after 9pm (FREE before) or are available via See Tickets.
