Summer ska madness unleashed at Telford’s Warehouse as Funkdub present BUSTER SHUFFLE.
Critically acclaimed ska band, Buster Shuffle, have been lined up to play at the latest of Funkdub’s phenomenally successful music events at Telford’s Warehouse on Saturday, 25th August.
Buster Shuffle are a Cockney seven-piece ska ensemble, bringing the beloved Madness and Specials sound bang up to date in a triumph of two tone.
Their debut album, “Our Night Out”, received rave reviews, achieving 4/5 from UNCUT, who declared them “one to watch”, while The Guardian declared that “you’ll enjoy this knees-up bar-room ska-pop from these chirpy cockneys”.
Since then, it’s been a whirlwind of tours and festivals for Buster Shuffle, playing with musical heavyweights including Lee ‘Scratch’ Perry, Dropkick Murphys, The Wombats, White Lies, Goldie Lookin’ Chain and, of course, Chas ‘n’ Dave.
The band are playing Chester for the first time on this tour and are celebrating the release of their new album, “Do Nothing” (featuring collaborations with Mickey Gallagher from The Blockheads/The Clash and Roddy Radiation from The Specials).
The single Elvis v. Wag has recently been receiving praise and airplay from both BBC Radio One and 6 Music, setting the band up for their biggest summer so far.
Buster Shuffle represent the latest hand-picked band to appear at the Funkdub music events, which have become legendary across the North West for incredible music and incomparable party vibes.
Now enjoying their eighth year in the business, resident Funkdub DJs, 3DJ and G-Kush, will play their infamous sets before and after the band, guaranteeing a packed dance floor and a night to remember.
Funkdub Live presents Buster Shuffle was on Saturday, 25th August at Telford’s Warehouse, Chester. Tickets priced at just £4 on the door / free before 10pm.
