People get ready – we’re back at Telford’s Warehouse Chester for a very special show with The Kubricks LIVE celebrating 15 years of Funkdub. We’re also delighted to welcome back Doodleplanet art & residents 3DJ & G-Kush will be playing some of our favourite tracks from MMIV – MMXIX – Saturday 30th November 2019…
The Kubricks first emerged in 2013 and have transcended their original roots as a pure ska band. In particular the 2017 album “The Heist” produced by Toby Davies of Gentleman’s Dub Club, saw them embracing deeper heavier grooves and a much wider musical palette to devastating effect & critical acclaim.
They come to Funkdub fresh from a run of amazing summer festival performances and are already booked alongside a huge line up (including ourselves) at The London International Ska Festival 2020. The full energy Kubricks’ live show is something not to be missed.
In support will be Funkdub residents 3DJ & Gentleman Kush who have been bringing the freshest talent to Chester for 15 years (Dub Pistols; Dreadzone; Gentleman’s Dub Club; Buster Shuffle; Craig Charles; Bison; Pama International; Greg Wilson; Little Barrie to name but a few) as well as playing DJ sets all across the festivals.
